Sometimes... the Gillmor Gange is full of shit

I was listenning to Gillmor Gang today, and Steve posited something that reinforced my views of him. For as intelligent as he is, he's a putz out of touch with what goes on outside the Valley. If you want to know which show. it was Black Friday Gang part 19 of 32.

wtf, Steve. San Jose doesn't even have city wide wifi yet. In the last year of flying no more than half the airports had free wifi. Some had none at all.

Have you flown much? Airplane wifi? I've heard of one airline offering it. I also seem to recall hearing of one that dropped it. Either that means there's none or there were at least two.

Maybe he means EVDO? I thought Steve had a Mac Book Pro, if that's the case offline is dead, IF you use Verizon Wireless. They're currently the only carrier offering an ExpressCard format wireless broadband. I'm guessing Steve means offline is dead for the technorati, cuz for the rest of us, it's alive an kicking.
 
I love listenning to Gillmor Gang, I've said that before. I listen despite Steve's completely transparent attempts to get ad revenue by splitting one show into 5 so he can have 5 4 minute long godaddy and earthlink ad spaces... Which by the way Steve, that's whack. It's insulting to your listenners and wastes our time. If you're not careful I see a recurring gesture in the future from all your listeners... You like gestures, I'll let you guess which one.
