New Role in life!

HA! No not father. sheesh!!

I've just accepted a position (Contract/hire to start) with Quovadx, as a ColdFusion/Flex developer, I think the actual title was like Application Developer III. I have no idea how high these numbers go LOL.

This role is a new one for me. I've been a Dev II plenty of times, and acted in a lead capacity almost as many times, but this time, it's expected of me. I'll be responsible for being team lead and mentor in Flex since the team is new to Flex.

I'm really excited to start down this new path. It wasn't an easy decision. I had two offers on the table. same money for both (the hourly rate that is, salary TBD). Both doing Flex, both companies looked like pretty fun places. I doubt Quovadx has "beer thirty" on Friday's but oh well :) Quovadx has CF in house which is nice as my programming roots are in CF, so that won't hurt.

In the end it came down to responsibility, and Quovadx was looking for some one to lead and mentor, which I think I am not so bad at. The other opportunity was just looking for a coder. I think it's time to move up a bit in the IT world and start leading. So here goes...

I start 3/26, can't wait.
