Saw me some transformers
Nicole and I went out tonight since it's sorta like a Friday, it's Friday One of this week. We decided to brave the movie theatre and see Transformers.
If you're at all on the fence, go see it. If you're not really a mega fan, go see it. If you have some sort of hang up and don't like Micheal Bay (get over it, he doesn't know you, nor does he care that you don't like him), go see it.
There was enough good ol' big robots fighting other big robots to satiate anyone, plus some truly funny comic relief type scenes, just enough to not be 100% big CG robots, but not so much that you're sitting there waiting to see a Robot blow something up.
I was (as I usually am with a movie remake) skeptical going in, I mean come on, this is THE Transformers. The canon is sacrosanct. Nothing short of bringing back all the bitchin' memories of my childhood would do.
While I did miss some of the staples, Soundwave (He woulda made a killer Evil iPod), Starscream's boys the other jets, maybe the constructicons.Where was Sideswipe, Prowl, and company? But I guess it was lively enough with just a handful of each team, and there's definitely room for sequels, which I think would rock. They definitely didn't close many doors.
Spoiler ahead
RIP Jazz :(

I read a sequel has already been greenlit.
